For bound’s second Creator Capsule Collection, British tastemaker Freddie Long takes centre stage. Known for his strong visual aesthetic and distinctive sense of style, Freddie brings a fresh perspective to the collaboration, marking another milestone for the brand. Built on a shared creative process, the collection was discussed, designed and developed collaboratively, with both bound and Freddie playing an active role throughout.
“We make the creator capsules to allow bound to design and release products through someone else’s lens,” says Messer. “This means bringing in new fits, graphics and an aesthetic that we wouldn’t come up with around our own table. The creative freedom and conversations are the priority in this partnership. It’s not about financial gain; it’s about creating something that both Freddie and bound are proud to put their name behind.”
The multi-product collection features a range of knitwear, wovens and accessories in spring-inspired preppy colourways. Playful blues, vibrant yellows and washed reds reflect Freddie’s personal style, with a focus on everyday layering pieces, classic shirting and bold stripes. bound also revisits its expertly crafted panelled canvas trouser, featuring patterns designed by in-house designer Annie Errington.
“I’ve always loved vintage sweaters and matching sets, but I’ve never really found them quite how I wanted them.” says Freddie Long.
“Being able to take that inspiration and create something new felt exciting. They’re pieces I’ve wanted in my own wardrobe for years, so being able to make them myself has been pretty special.”
The campaign was shot across multiple locations in London, following Freddie through his day-to-day routine to create an authentic and personal narrative. Offering a genuine insight into his world, the content captures the effortless confidence and individuality that define his style. The collection was fully styled by Freddie himself, bringing his own creative vision and taste to every look.
“Freddie has a great look and genuinely cares about fashion,” says Messer when asked why he was the right fit for bound. “He is experimental and versatile, which is exactly what bound is about — being able to put together those bolder looks, but also the uncomplicated everyday casual looks that still make a statement.”
