Pilot has significantly expanded its EV charging network across 25 states, now exceeding 300 locations nationwide, comprising 309 stations and 1,323 stalls. Developed in partnership with EVgo, this expansion integrates EV charging with traditional travel center amenities, offering convenience, food options, canopies, and 24/7 monitoring. Pilot aims to provide the same exceptional experience for EV drivers that non-EV drivers expect.
Concurrently, Pilot is investing in its wider travel center network, opening new sites and modernizing 18 existing locations across 13 US states and Canadian provinces. These investments focus on creating appealing spaces for both guests and team members, enhancing the overall travel experience.
The expansion spans 25 states and forms part of a wider programme of investment by the Tennessee-based company. Following the latest additions, the network exceeds 300 charging locations nationwide. Pilot has developed the charging network in partnership with EVgo, which operates more than 1,200 charging stations and over 5,200 charging ports across the United States.
Pilot highlighted that its charging offer is designed to integrate EV charging with the services traditionally available at roadside travel centres. “Pilot’s charging experience is differentiated by offering the same convenience, access and reliability that non-EV drivers have come to expect,” the company stated. “Pilot’s coast-to-coast EV network offers a comprehensive, exceptional experience with fast chargers and 24/7 monitoring, and many locations offer drivers canopies to escape the weather and their favourite Pilot eats offerings.”
The charging expansion coincides with broader investments in Pilot’s travel centre network. During 2026, the company opened new sites in Chicopee, Massachusetts, and Ponce de Leon, Florida, while completing modernisation projects at 18 existing locations across 13 US states and Canadian provinces.
