Hockerty returned to Florence’s Pitti Uomo with „The Color Edit,“ their boldest creative direction yet. This conviction treated vibrant Italian-inspired hues—like Positano cobalt, Caltagirone saffron, and Capri fuchsia—not as mere decoration, but as craftsmanship, tradition, and a way of life. Their made-to-measure collection showcased double-breasted suits in pink linen, terracotta, and forest green, each named after an Italian locale and emphasizing unlined construction. An immersive event at La Limonaia, featuring a violinist, ceramicist, and authentic food, reinforced this philosophy, celebrating color as an enduring, total living experience, proving conviction in color speaks loudest.
Italy gave us colour as a way of life. We made it eternal.
Florence returned this summer with everything it always promises: the heat, the beauty, and the silent challenge of bringing something worth saying. Under a Tuscan sky that seemed painted for the occasion, Hockerty responded with the boldest creative direction in its history at the fair.
The Color Edit is not a theme. It is a conviction. Italy taught us to treat color as a way of living: the cobalt of Positano, the saffron of the hand-painted tiles of Caltagirone, the sage of a garden in Ravello, the fuchsia of the bougainvillea climbing the walls of Capri. Here, color was never decoration. It was craftsmanship, tradition, and a way to endure. This season, we made it eternal. From light pink linen and sky blue seersucker to terracotta double-breasted suits, dusky yellow tailoring, chocolate field jackets, and forest green suits, each look was built around a rule of color, lived at different intensities. 100% made to measure.
A color, a place, a story
As in every edition, Pitti Uomo became our runway. Each look carried the name of a place: Crete Senesi, Forte dei Marmi, Lake Como, Giudecca, Caltagirone, Procida, because each color combination tells its own geography. Our influencers roamed the modern halls of the Fortezza da Basso with looks that felt both ancient and electric. The made-to-measure tailoring ensured that nothing was left to chance: each tone chosen deliberately, each fall exact, each combination a decision and not a compromise.
The double-breasted silhouettes led the edition, in pink linen, powder blue linen-tencel, terracotta with cupro lining, dusky yellow, dark purple, chocolate cotton-linen, and ivory Super 100s, accompanied by a dark beige two-piece and sky blue seersucker. The unlined construction kept the weight to zero, the slub textures captured the Florentine light, and the field jackets appeared twice, once in dark beige with a terracotta shirt and cream pants, another in chocolate with a mustard shirt and sage pants, challenging the authority of the suit without replacing it. The forest green closed the edition in two instances, once with a peak lapel, another completely unlined: color over color. The collection confirmed what we already believed: in a room full of clothes, the loudest voice is the color worn with total conviction.

The event The Color Edit: La Limonaia
To mark the week, Hockerty hosted an afternoon that became one of the most memorable moments. La Limonaia, a garden courtyard in the heart of Florence, with lemon trees, bitter orange, lavender, and centuries-old greenery, was the only possible setting. A place suspended between the public and the private, between the formal and the vibrant. Right where The Color Edit belongs.
More than a hundred guests filled it. A live violinist, dressed by Sumissura, played among the lemon trees, and her music filled the courtyard just as colour fills a room. A Florentine ceramicist painted handmade majolica plates live, in the same tones that define the SS26 palette: cobalt, terracotta, sage, saffron, while the guests decorated their own pieces. Pasta was made from scratch under the June heat, and a Buontalenti gelato cart, the original ice cream of Florence, closed the afternoon with that kind of detail that only makes sense when everything else has also been taken care of. Then the heat and euphoria did the rest: by mid-afternoon, some of the bolder ones jumped straight into the pool, fully dressed, the colour carried even underwater.
The result was three hours that made the brief tangible: colour as craft, colour as tradition, colour as a way of life. The tailoring was there. The ceramics were there. The music and the food were there. And above all, between the lemon trees and the open sky, the light of Florence in June, the same light for which the collection was created.
Terracotta against steel blue. Misty yellow alongside powder blue. Forest green over forest green, ignited by a single flash of gold. The classic suddenly alive, the boldest statement of the room.
